25 Aug Semantic Earth observation (EO) data cubes – programming-free access and analysis of EO images
Semantic Earth observation (EO) data cubes have at least one categorical information for each observation, which can be queried in the same instance. This approach allows programming-free access and analysis of EO images directly in the cloud. Developed by the Department of Geoinformatics at the University of Salzburg, a semantic EO data cube infrastructure has been set up that covers Austria but can be scaled to other parts of the world.
Presenter: Dr Martin Sudmanns is a researcher at the Paris Lodron University Salzburg, Department of Geoinformatics, Austria, and co-head of the research area EO Analytics. His research focuses on Geoinformatics, computer-based representation of natural phenomena in spatial data models, and spatiotemporal Earth observation analysis in the context of data cubes and big EO data.
